Two of Russia’s most prominent musical exports collaborate for the first time in a program of works by Brahms, Stravinsky, Franck and Arvo Part. Vladimir Spivakov needs no introduction to McCarter audiences. Whether as violin recitalist or leader of his own Moscow Virtuosi, he has been a regular visitor for almost 25 years, and is currently both principal conductor of the National Philharmonic of Russia and president of the Moscow Performing Arts Centre.
